Meet Megan Winters
Dynamic… Chic… Elegant… Joyful… Glamorous… Full of life… These are just a few of the words used over the years to describe interiors designed by Megan Winters. Known for her fearless use of color, playful touches of gilt, vintage finds mixed with modern pieces, and fresh pops of WOW, Megan creates comfortable yet sophisticated homes that reflect her client’s daily lives and her easy, yet elegant, attitude towards design.
A Chicago resident, Megan came to the world of interiors via the high-end printing firm she founded with her University of Chicago MBA firmly in hand. She grew the business into a global packaging powerhouse collaborating with some of the world’s top fashion and lifestyle brands. As the business grew, so did the need for new offices and warehouses that would inspire and enhance the daily life of her company and its people. Megan took on this design assignment with her signature gusto and the results were enjoyed and celebrated by all — including friends, family and associates who wanted her to design their interiors. One project lead to five and Megan realized that design was her true passion. In 2011 she founded MEGAN WINTERS DESIGN and has been deliriously designing ever since.
In addition to creating standout interiors Megan has created a capsule collection for Artistic Tile and a private tabletop and accessories collection for mwcoco.com.
Megan and her interiors have been featured in Elle Décor (United States, England, Germany and Russia issues), Traditional Home, Luxe, House Beautiful, Veranda, Chicago Magazine, and Crain’s Business, among others. In 2013 and 2014 Megan’s work was showcased in New York at the very prestigious “Design On a Dime”event in collaboration with ELLE DÉCOR with proceeds going to benefit Housing Works whose mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS. Likewise, over the years Megan has donated her time and talent to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Lurie Children’s Hospital and the University of Chicago Women’s Cancer Board. Megan is also an active supporter of Catholic Charities and the United States Equestrian Federation.
